We built the Flip for our own kids first.
The problem every parent knows...
When kids start going to school, they want their own music, their stories, and a way to reach you when they're out. The only answer was a phone or a tablet. We didn't want to give ours one. Neither did most parents we talked to.
... so we built the in-between.
The NODI Flip gives kids 5 to 12 the good parts of a phone: the music and stories you approve, voice messages with the people they love, learning that grows with them. Nothing on it pulls at their eyes.

Why “NODI”?
It started as "NO DIsplay". Then we learned that kids need a tiny one to find their favourite album and see who sent a message. So the display stayed, small and at the bottom, and the name became "NO DIstractions". It's also Latin for knots, the connections a curious mind ties. And a five-year-old can say it.
How we work?
We build with experienced hardware and audio partners, and we grow one step at a time. The Flip started as a pre-sale so the first families had it in hand, and we knew it kept its promise, before we scaled. More than 10,000 families have joined since. To the ones who ordered early: thank you, you made this possible.

Future optimists
We worry about the same things you do: screens that won't let go, social media at nine, AI with no filter. But we don't think the answer is no technology. No generation has ever had this much great knowledge and content within reach, this early. Give a curious kid the right way in, and they learn because they want to. Done right, we think this can be the smartest generation yet. The Flip is our attempt at doing it right.
